WL: Brazil down – Iran pulled off another victory!

by WoV

After destroying "Selecao" in Brazil, Iran won again versus Rezende's team.

Brazil opened up very well with convincing 18-25 first set, but couldn’t close the gap in the second when Iran equalised 27-25. Everything was at the square one after two sets, and Brazil managed to get in the lead once again. 25-20 was the score and Brazil was at the verge of victory. But Mahmoudi and Mirzajanpour decided not to let that happen.

There was only one team on the court in the last two sets. Iranians were flying all over the court, and Brazil was helpless. With 25-17 and 15-9 they took over the second place in Pool A from Brazil and are now very close to Final Six in Italy!

Iran has gained momentum in the world league and showed itself as a real challenge for the other teams. I bet Italy will not have an easy game anymore when it faces Iran.
