Italy head coach Marco Bonitta: “Congratulations to China. China played very well. We tried to do something in the third set, but we didn’t have the power to play at the same level in the fourth set. China is a strong team. We need to go ahead for the matches next week as they are important to us. We hope to enter the final.”

Italy captain Francesca Piccinini: “China played a good game today. Their blocks and defense were very successful.”

China head coach Lang Ping: “Italy is a very strong team in Europe. Their attacks and defense are well-rounded. In the previous pool in Italy  our attacks were not smart enough. We enhanced our quick attacks in today’s match. Italy played very well today as well and it is surely a nice match for the audience. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans, media and volunteer who participated in this match. They are very professional and detailed.”

China captain Hui Ruoqi: “We are very happy to get the champion in Hong Kong. It is a recognition for us. In our last game against Italy we lost 2-3. Today  we supported each other and with determination, we won the final victory.”
