GP 2014: Brazil breeze past Belgium

Brazil breezed past Belgium 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-12) on the third day of the FIVB World Grand Prix Finals at Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo on Friday.

Thaisa Menezes was the top scorer in the match with 13 points, including seven service points. Lise Van Hecke led Belgium with nine points.

Brazil are now 2-1; Belgium are 0-3.

It was the first ever meeting between these teams in the World Grand Prix. 

Brazil have now won 32 of their last 35 World Grand Prix matches against European opposition. 

Belgium lost their first two Finals matches, to China and Russia. 

In their first two matches, Brazil lost to Turkey and beat China.
