Wilfredo León’s future appears to be taking shape well before the 2026/27 campaign gets into full swing. According to Polish journalist Jakub Balcerzak of “Prawda Siatki”, the Bogdanka LUK Lublin star is set to join Turkish side Halkbank Ankara for the 2027/28 season, a deal he described as “99.99%” certain.

Polsat Sport and Przegląd Sportowy both carried the report. Balcerzak said León’s decision was made earlier than Lublin expected and that the Polish club has already begun searching for a successor. He also admitted he does not know whether a full contract or only a pre-contract has been signed. The offer is reported to be worth €1.5 million per season, a figure neither club has confirmed. Przegląd Sportowy says it confirmed that the offer is on the table. Earlier, León told Przegląd Sportowy Onet only: “I can’t say these offers don’t come. For now, we’re talking.”

León joined Lublin in 2024 and won the Polish championship, Cup, Super Cup and CEV Challenge Cup with the club. Neither Lublin nor Halkbank has officially commented.
