We are presenting the best scorers of the recently finished U16 volleyball European championship for girls.

Italy were the best team of the tournament, beating Russia in the final 25-22, 25-22, 25-17. It is interesting that only one player from the champions’ squad is in the top scorers list, which doesn’t mean that they don’t have quality attackers.

First of all, Italy have lost only one set during the EuroVolley (first game vs. Bulgaria). The second reason is that the opponents were making much more mistakes than usually, not leaving a huge room for the attackers of Italy…

These are the top 10 scorers of the competition:

1. Alexia Ioana Carutasu (Romania) – 21,14 per game (7 matches)

2. Tatiana Kadochkina (Russia) – 20,14 per game (7)

3. Kseniya Liabiodkina (Belarus) – 19,28 per game (7)

4. Aleksandra Georgieva (Bulgaria) – 18,57 per game (7)

5. Sude Hacimustafaoglu (Turkey) – 18,14 per game (7)

6. Maria Yordanova (Bulgaria) – 16,42 per game (7)

7. Martin Pauline (Blegium) – 14,8 per game (5)

8. Darya Borys (Belarus) – 12,57 per game (7)

9. Anna Zijl (The Netherlands) – 12,28 per game (7)

10. Loveth Oghosasere Omoruyi (Italy) – 10,57 per game (7)
