The team will try to hold onto its title during the qualifying match for the World Championship, which will be held in Thailand.
Argentina will share Pool A with Brazil, Dominican Republic and Peru. Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico and the host team of Guatemala will compete in Pool B.
Teams already qualified for the World Championship will compete in Pool A, including NORCECA and South America.
The top two teams in Pool A will move on to the semi finals, while the third and fourth teams will play against the best two teams from Pool B to secure the remaining two semi final spots.
World Championship qualifiers USA and Mexico will not participate in the tournament, as they prefer to train at home.
Argentina plays its first round against Dominican Republic on Monday, April 29 at 18:00. On Tuesday, April 30, Argentina will compete against Brazil at 14:00, and on Wednesday, May 1 the team will play Peru at 16:00.
The Youth’s Girls Pan-American Cup runs from April 29 to May 4.
