Buenos Aires, Argentina, November 11, 2011 – While the Argentina’s women’s team are in Japan at the FIVB Women’s World Cup 2011, the men’s side are continuing their preparation for the men’s edition in just over a week’s time.

Javier Weber’s team will all meet in Frankfurt, Germany this Sunday before moving on to Japan ahead of their first match against Serbia the following week.

Nicolás Uriarte, Maximiliano Gauna, Nicolás Bruno, Mariano Giustiniano, Franco López, Pablo Crer and Sebastián Solé, all of whom play in Argentina, will leave Buenos Aires following training on Sunday and will eventually meet up with the rest of the squad in Europe.

Argentina have competed in four World Cups with their highest ranking being fifth in 1985. They competed at the last edition where they finished seventh so will be hoping to improve and move into a medal spot to earn a berth at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
