Facundo Conte top-scored in the 3-0 (25-19, 25-10, 27-25) victory with 14 points, while for the visitors Luis Arias scored 12. With the scores tied at 25-25 in the third set, a Venezuelan unforced error gave Argentina match point and a block by Conte gave Argentina the title and their ticket to London.

Argentina now join hosts Great Britain as well as Russia, Poland and Brazil who finished in the top three at the FIVB World Cup, plus Tunisia, USA and Italy who have qualified through the CAVB, NORCECA and CEV qualifying events respectively.

The lineup for Earls Court will be completed by the AVC qualifier, as well as three teams from the World Olympic Qualification Tournaments.
