ARG W: Friendly youth’s girs tour in Brazil – host team wins first match

The Argentine Youth's coached by Guillermo Cáceres arrive to Brazil for their friendly tour preparing their participation at their South American Championship that qualifies for the 2013 World Championships and this Tuesday played the first friendly match against the host team Youth's won by the local's 3--0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-22). This Wednesday they will play the second match.

Brazil showed its strong blocking scoring 20 points with Laiza, the middle player being the top scorer with 14 points. Argentine side changed players to evaluate their preparation between starting line-up and substitutes.

In the first two sets Brazil started leading and kept an important advantage on both TTO while the third set was fought with the light blue – white team finding their momentum and fighting at the same level than the local team.

Brazil deserved the victory. We did not play as well as we should but maybe it is because for this group of players it is their first international match so they were not too calm” expressed Caceres after the match as per the Brazilian Confederation Website.
