The Argentine Women Seniors' A1 League goes on with a great start of the three phase after being played at the most unusual places of the country during the first two phases with new teams competing. This and other volleyball news read on Worldofvolley.com.

This first weekend two of three pools played their first date this Saturday in four very intensive matches in Buenos Aires city and Santa Fe.

At Quinquela Martín Sport Centre, belonging to the title holder Boca Juniors, Boca as host team overcame Universidad de San Juan that improved their game along the match but could not avoid the victory of the home team by 3-0.

At the previous match in the same venue Vélez Sarsfield overcame Unión Eléctrica de Córdoba 3-1 in their debut at the Women League after being at the door of playing it during several seasons.

In the evening – Boca matches took place in the morning due to the soccer match in the afternoon, in Santa Fe, Villa Dora could celebrate over San Lorenzo de Almagro 3-0.

Then, the home team Gimnasia y Esgrima de Santa Fe, was defeated in a tie breaker by Mar Chiquita 2-3, that recovered and found its momentum after losing the first set.

This Sunday action will go on in the same two venues closing the first weekend of the third round for these two pools. The other pool will take place for the first weekend, November 10th – 11th.
