AVC CC M: Pakistan and Qatar Set for Grand Final in 2024 AVC Challenge Cup

Pakistan and Qatar secured their spots in the final of the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Men. Pakistan stunned Korea, while Qatar overpowered Kazakhstan in the semifinals held at Isa Town Sport City Hall C in Bahrain.

Pakistan, ranked 47th in the world, achieved a significant 3-1 victory over world No. 28 Korea with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 25-22, and 25-22. Meanwhile, Qatar, ranked 21st, triumphed over world No. 55 Kazakhstan with a 3-1 scoreline (25-16, 19-25, 25-19, 25-16).

These victories set the stage for an exciting final as both teams vie for the championship and a berth in the 2024 FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup in China, which serves as a qualifier for the expanded VNL 2025.

In other playoff matches, China defeated Vietnam to secure fifth place, and Bahrain upset Australia to finish seventh in the tournament.
