The 2024 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship kicked off in Yazd, Iran. On the opening day, Iranian hosts Shahdab Yazd thrilled local fans by defeating Indonesia’s Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi 3-1. Shahdab, backed by strong home support, showed their dominance and determination, setting the tone for their campaign.
Iraq’s Gas Al Janoob also claimed a 3-1 victory against Qatar’s Al Rayyan Sports Club in a gripping Arab rivalry match. Meanwhile, Foolad Sirjan Iranian crushed Afghanistan’s Kam Air in straight sets, while Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar Volleyball Club edged out Kuwait SC 3-1.
Day two saw Jakarta Bhayangkara bounce back with a straight-set victory over Kuwait SC, and Shahdab Yazd secured another win against Pavlodar VC. Al-Rayyan defeated Kam Air, and Foolad Sirjan continued their dominance, sweeping Gas Al Janoob.
