AVC CL W: Zhetysu VC Clinch Historic First AVC Women’s Champions League Title

Kazakhstan’s Zhetysu VC made history by winning the inaugural AVC Women’s Volleyball Champions League, defeating Vietnam’s VTV Binh Dien Long An 3-1 (25-14, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18) at the PhilSports Arena.

Led by MVP Karyna Denysova and Tatyana Nikitina, Zhetysu dominated final match. After dropping the second set, they refocused on their blocking strength, sealing the match with a monster block by Valeriya Yakutina.

Vietnam’s Binh Dien Long An, spearheaded by captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and standout Vi Thi Nhu Quynh couldn’t maintain momentum against the resurgent Kazakh side.

Zhetysu VC and VTV Binh Dien Long An will now represent Asia at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship.
