Majda Čičič-Leban, Slovenian women’s volleyball expert, had a busy summer at helm of Iranian Women’s National Team and club Bank Sarmayeh and she will likely have at least another one at helm of both.

Čičič led Iranian NT at the Asian Women’s Volleyball Cup in Vĩnh Phúc, Vietnam (6th place) and Bank Sarmayeh at Asian Women’s Volleyball Club Championship in Biñan, Philippines (5th place). These results were rated as satisfying by many volleyball experts in Iran.

„I will implant the recent training system of volleyball and I am rather confident about the result. All I try is to improve the ranking of Iran in Asia and next, we will think about the better ranking in major competitions in the following years,” Slovenian expert said in an interview to our correspondent from Iran prior to the both championships.

„I am satisfied with the 16 players in our camp. We are having intensive practices and the national federation, especially President Davarzani, is giving its full support to the women’s team,“ Čičič added.

Volleyball family of Iran appreciates the gutsy performance of Čičič and her team in both prestigious Asian women’s championships. Thus, according to our correspondent, Iranian Volleyball Federation decided to continue collaboration with her.
