Tianjin
Chinese Women’s Volleyball Championship title holders Tianjin smashed Fujian in straight sets with 22 points from Chen Liyi and 17 from Serbian Brankica Mihajlović. Zhang Yuting and Zheng Yixin had 13 each in losing team.
Speeking of Liaoning, they showed in Round 5 that a win over Tianjin was a result of their amazing shape at the moment. Liaoning defeated Ba’yi 3-1 and joined Tianjin at the top of the standings. Both have 4-1 score.
Shanghai reached positive 3-2 score by downing Shandong 3-2. Zhang Yichan had 27 points while Canadian Sarah Pavan added 22 for winners. Qian Jingwen collected 24 for Shandong.
Henan achieved their first win by causing upset to Sichuan 3-1. It was a shooters showdown of two foreigners in which Sichuan’s Australian Rachel Rourke (34 points) outscored Henan’s American Megan Easy (32 points).
