Reigning champions Foton Tornadoes completed their nearly perfect campaign in preliminary phase by beating fierce rivals Petron Blaze Spikers in a duel for top spot before playoffs 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-14). With this win, the team coached by Serbian Branislav Moro reached 9-1 record while Petron have dropped down to 8-2.

American Lindsay Stalzer, the first foreign player ever to serve as team captain of Foton, dominated the winners while, on the other side, her compatriot Stephanie Niemer caused most damage to the rivals.

Foton will definitely be deprived from help of two important players in roster until the end of the season, Ennajie ‘EJ’ Laure and Cherry ‘Sisi’ Rondina.

RC Cola Air Force Raiders swept Cignal HD Spikers away 25-16, 25-9, 25-23 and squeezed today’s rivals sixth place before playoffs. Jovelyn Gonzaga fired 17 points for the winning team.

RC Cola will face Generika Lifesavers while Cignal booked a duel with F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the first round of playoffs this Sunday (November 27).

The winners of RC Cola and Generika clash will face Foton in the semifinals, while winners of Cignal and F2 Logistics duel will go against Petron in semis.
