In the big final of Qatar Cup 2017 they have outplayed Al Rayyan 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22) and returned the trophy to their showcases.
This is the third trophy of Al Arabi Doha this season after QVA Cup and Super Cup while Al Rayyan once again failed.
As they said, they couldn’t do that without the help of Taylor Sander and György Grozer.
German player was the best scorer of the match with 27 points while Sander scored 21. For Al Rayyan Cuban Oreol Camejo scored 13, Dušan Petković 12 points and Iranian Milad Ebadipour 11 points.
This was the 17th final between these two big teams. Overall, they have played 21 finals each.
