In a duel of the two undefeated teams, the female “Zbornaya” beat Japan 3-1 (25-18, 17-25, 25-22, 25-22) in the finals of the 29th Summer Universiade that was played in front of 6,000 spectators at the National Taiwan University Sports Center in the Taipei City, Taiwan.
Dinamo Moscow opposite Nataliya Krotkova topped Russia with 22 points, while her teammate from the club Ekaterina Lyubushkina made 5 of 18 kill blocks of Russia. As for Japan, the University of Tsukuba receiver Arisa Inoue scored 21 points.
The Russian Women’s NT claimed the third title in the tournament in a row, fourth overall.
The Men’s Volleyball final of the 2017 Summer Universiade is scheduled for tomorrow, in which Iran and Russia will face each other.
