The top-seed F2 Logistics made a huge comeback in Game 2 of the Grand Prix playoff finals against the second-seed Petron Blaze Spikers to tie the series at 1-1.
F2 Logistics trailed 2-1 in sets and 9-0 in the fourth set before managing to get back into the game at 13-13. Petron players could not recover from such a shock of losing a set which they already had in their pockets and succumbed in the tie-break by a 15-4. The final result by sets was 25-20, 24-26, 14-25, 25-19, 15-4 for F2 Logistics.
A duo of imports María José Pérez from Venezuela and Kennedy Bryan from the USA highlighted the winning side with 25 and 15 points, respectively. In Petron, the U.S. international Lindsay Stalzer made 24 points while her compatriot Hillary Hurley added 16 points.
Game 3 of the finals is scheduled for December 16 and will determine the new champions of the Philippines.
