China will play for their 13th title after they defeated Thailand in the first semifinal with 3-2 (25-16, 25-19, 12-25, 17-25, 15-7). Xu Luyao and Sun Ruoqing were the top scorers of the winning team with 21 points, while Che Wenhan added 14 points. Thanacha Sooksod led Thailand with 28 points followed by Wiranyupa Inchan and Tichakorn Boonlert who scored 12 points each.
In second semifinal Japan outplayed Chinese Taipei in straight sets (25-10, 25-14, 25-19) and during the whole match, they dominated on the net.
South Korea and Vietnam will play for the fifth place after they defeated Kazakhstan and Iran.
