Thai club Supreme Chonburi and Japanese NEC Red Rockets will play in the final of SMM 2018 Asian Club Championship for Women in Kazakhstan.

Thailand’s Supreme took the first major step in their title defense. They defeated China’s Jiangsu Zhongtian with 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-15). Ajcharaporn Kongyot was the top scorer on the match with 22 points (19 attacks, 2 blocks and 1 ace). 

NEC Red Rockets fueled their fast plays with strong serves against the host team Altay VC, to win 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 28-26). Captain Mizuki Yanagita led all scorers with 18 points (14 attacks and 4 aces).

Supreme Chonburi – Jiangsu 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-15)

Altay VC – NEC Red Rockets 0-3 (20-25, 17-25, 26-28)

From 5th to 8th place

CMFC – Paykan Tehran 1-3 (24-26, 20-25, 25-22, 13-25)

VTV Binh Dien Long An – Garuda VC 1-3 (19-25, 23-25, 25-15, 20-25)

Tomorrow final day

For 7th place: VTV Binh Dien Long An – CMFC 

For 5th: Paykan Tehran – Garuda VC

For 3rd place: Jiangsu  – Altay VC

Supreme are the favorite to win this tournament with their strong majority core NT members, but if they aren’t focus, could possibly go NEC Red Rockets way instead like in the pool stage.
