Before the game, Azerbaijan was the absolute favorite to win the match. But, Portugal has surprised Mamadova & co in Sofia and took the win after five sets 3-2 (25-23, 16-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12).
Natalya Mammadova was the top scorer of the match with 22 points for Azerbaijan, followed by teammate Anastasiya Gurbanova with 16. Marta Hurst contributed 15 points to Portugal’s victory to become the best scorer for the winning side.

Bulgaria – Greece 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-13)
