They firstly wanted to appoint Marcelo Abbondanza as the new head coach of Azerbaijani women’s national team, but the Italian expert refused the offer. However, apasport.az reveals that Abbondanza was not the only one who received the offer.
This source writes that the Azerbaijani Volleyball Federation also contacted Dragutin Baltić, current head coach of Vizura Belgrade, and Carlo Parisi, current head coach of Le Cannet.
Both of them used to work in Azerbaijan. and both of them were head coaches of Lokomotiv Baku in the past.
