Rabita Baku and Azerrail Baku playing in the Russian Championship... Interesting idea, but will it actually happen?

You have all heard about the idea that the Russian Championship may include 3 foreign clubs into the 2017/18 season. One of them is Swiss champions Volero, while the other two come from Azerbaijan – Azerrail Baku and Rabita Baku.

The vice-president of the Azerbaijani Volleyball Federation Faig Garayev stated that it is too early too talk about this project.

“We haven’t received any official proposal from the Russian Volleyball Federation. If we receive it, we will definitely discuss it. We need to consider how useful would that be for Azerbaijani volleyball. Anyway, I cannot say anything more about this subject at the moment.”

Recall that Rabita head coach Zoran Gajić stated that this project would be great for the club
