The team coached by Argentinean Marcelo Méndez won the 5th title (2nd in a row) of the Copa Brasil and secured a berth for the next edition of the Super Cup.
In front of the packed stands, consisted of about 9,000 spectators, at the Jaraguá Arena in Jaraguá do Sul, where the Final 4 was held, Sada Cruzeiro beat Sesi-SP by a 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-12). To reach the final, the team from the Minas Gerias state eliminated Vôlei UM Itapetininga in the quarterfinals and Sesc RJ in the semifinals.
The top scorer of the match, with 18 points, was Sesi opposite hitter Alan Souza. For the titleholders, 2 players shared the status of the best scorer: the middle Isac Santos and the opposite hitter Luan Weber, with 13 points each.
