Dentil/Praia Clube beat Sesi Vôlei Bauru on the road, won the regular season the 2019/20 Superliga Feminina, and established themselves as the top seed for the playoffs. In the postponed Round 19 match, Praia came back from 1-2 in sets and recorded the 20th victory in 21 games in the competition, 14th successive win. Dominican Brayelin Martínez from Praia was the top scorer of the match with 25 points, while Ana Carolina Silva “Carol” made 5 kill blocks. As for Bauru, Azerbaijani Polina Rahimova scored 23 points.

Given that Itambé Minas stumbled in a derby against Sesc-RJ (1-3), Praia are isolated in the lead of the Superliga with 58 points. By beating Minas and breaking their nine-game winning streak in Superliga (13-game winning streak overall), Sesc became the vice-leaders, squeezing out rivals to the third place. However, both teams have four points less than Praia and with no chance of endangering them at the top knowing that only round has remained until the end of the regular season.
