According to Bruno Voloch from Estadão Esportes, the unofficial Superliga Feminina runners-up Itambé Minas intensified actions for bringing in a powerful player on the position of the opposite hitter.
The club world champions aim the best scorer of the Italian side Zanetti Bergamo (315 points), Malwina Smarzek. But, since two more clubs in Brazil (names unknown yet) showed intense interest in the Polish player, Minas turned their attention to the 2019 U.S. Player of the Year, Andrea Drews, who finished the season as the MVP of the Japanese Championship.
Either way, it seems that the Belo Horizonte team will certainly part ways with at least one opposite hitter from the current roster – Sheilla Castro or Bruna Honório, but will extend with middle blocker Thaísa.
