The Polska Liga Siatkówki has decided to end the 2019/20 Men’s Championship (PlusLiga) and 2019/20 Women’s Championship (Liga Siatkówki Kobiet). Both were suspended two weeks ago due to coronavirus pandemic and are definitely over for the same reason. But, the governing body of the club volleyball in Poland made different decisions regarding the champions in these two competitions.

Because the regular season in PlusLiga didn’t complete, men’s champions won’t be awarded. Three leading teams in the ranking will be entitled to compete in the 2021 CEV Champions League.

Since the Liga Siatkówki Kobiet regular season was completed, the Polish Volleyball League awarded the title to the winners of this stage, Grupa Azoty Chemik Police. Developres SkyRes Rzeszów will receive the silver medal and ŁKS Commercecon Łódź the bronze medal. In addition, Chemik and Developres earned the right to compete in the 2021 CEV Champions League.

At this very moment, the number of people infected by the new COVID-19 in Poland is 1,031. The death toll is 14.
