Vôlei Renata, also known as Campinas, seems to be willing to assemble a strong squad for the next season.
Media in the country are buzzing that the team from the São Paulo State agreed to terms with the 2010 FIVB World Championship winner with the Brazil National Team, Leandro Vissotto. After leaving EMS Taubaté Funvic, the veteran opposite hitter refused several proposals from foreign clubs to stay in the country due to personal reasons. Thus, the 37-year-old player will return to Vôlei Renata after two years.
Another Taubaté player is close to signing with the Campinas side – the outside hitter Renan Bonora, while the arrival of the Sesi-SP middle blocker Lucas Barreto will be officialized in the next few days. In addition to these signings, Vôlei Renata renewed the contracts of Argentine setter Demián González, outside hitter Gabriel Vaccari, middle blocker Michel Saraiva, and libero Bruno Bello Ruivo.
They said goodbye to opposite hitter Renan Buiatti (Tours-FRA), middle blockers Luiz Henrique Sene “Luizinho“ (Paris-FRA) and Robson Augusto “Robinho“ (Portugal), and outside hitter Bruno Canuto (Romania).
