Murilo says:
“I’ll do the surgery for my right shoulder as soon as possible. For professional reasons, I had to wait for a long time to take care of it. Now is the right time. I am going to see the doctor very soon to schedule it.
I had the option to get it done last year but I opted to play at the 2012 Olympics since my team and I waited for 4 years to compete. I also decided to play in the Superliga for the current season. If I decided to have the surgery after the Olympics, that I wouldn’t be able to play in the Superliga which was not fair for my club team, Sesi.
Coach Rezende is aware of my current condition and he supports my decision. He’s well informed since he’s had conversations with the team dcotor, Dr. Ney.
I believe this is a great year for coach Rezende to use and discover young players to represent the team. There’s no doubt he will achieve success in the World League knowing that he’s been successful coaching the team for more than 12 years.
I will talk to coach Rezende very soon so he and I can discuss our goals for my future with the Brazilian National Team.”
Murilo and Team Sesi failed to advance to the Final Match of the Superliga after losing the semifinal round to Sada Cruzeiro.
