The runners-up of the last regular season of the Brazilian women’s volleyball Championship, Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde, secured an important signature for the next season.
Osasco started assembling the 2021/22 roster by confirming the stay of an Olympic champion Tandara Caixeta.
The main player of the Brazil National Team at the ongoing FIVB Volleyball Nations League and a member of the ‘Seleção’ squad in Tokyo Olympics for sure will thus play her second successive season with a team from São Paulo with whom she won the title in 2012. The Olympic champion in London 2012 was elected the best Opposite Spiker of the last Superliga, in which her team was a runner-up in the regular season, being eliminated in the playoff semifinals.
A 32-year-old Tandara won as many as 8 gold medals with Brazil Women while, as for individual awards, she was named Superliga MVP one time, Best Scorer 4 times, Best Server 2 times, and Best Spiker one time. With the national team, she earned the MVP of the 2017 South American Championship, as well as Best Opposite Spiker of the 2018 FIVB VNL and 2017 FIVB World Grand Champions Cup.
