In matches played ahead of the regular schedule of 2021/22 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship, Dentil/Praia Clube and Itambé/Minas achieved a straight-set win each.
In the Round 9 match of the 2021/22 Women’s Superliga, played ahead of the regular schedule due to their participation in the FIVB Club World Championship, Dentil/Praia Clube were merciless on Country Club Valinhos. Not only did they achieve a straight-set win but the players commanded by Paulo Coco didn’t allow rivals to score double digits in all of the sets: 25-20, 25-8, 25-20. The Dominican Brayelin Martínez top-scored Praia with 16 points. Ana Carolina Silva ‘Carol’ made four blocks and Suelen Pinto 90% reception (10 digs, 40% excellent). The two teams return to the court already on Friday for the second round of the competition.
Itambé/Minas beat Esporte Clube Pinheiros 3-0 and got themselves the second win in a row in Superliga. This encounter was held ahead of the regular schedule for the same reason as the one between Praia and Valinhos, with the difference that this was valid for Round 8. The Turkish Neriman Özsoy top-scored the winning side with 16 points. Priscila Daroit ‘Pri Daroit’ made 79% attack (11/14, blocked once, 12 points).
