In the tie-break, Sesi Vôlei Bauru beat Itambé Minas on the road in Round 9 of the 2021/22 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship.
In an exciting game in Belo Horizonte, Sesi Bauru players had a great performance against hosts Minas, prevailing in the tie-break and sending rivals to the 2021 FIVB Club World Championship in a bad mood: 3-2 (18-25, 25-19, 25-13, 17-25, 15-10 ). The game was valid for Round 9 of the 2021/22 Women’s Superliga, played in advance due to Minas’ participation in the mentioned Club World Champ.
The U.S. international Nia Reed from Sesi Bauru was the highest scorer of the game with 27 points, but the blocking display of Adenízia Ferreira was just astonishing. The veteran player scored 10 points in this segment! Nyeme Nunes made 85% reception (20 digs, 70% excellent).
With the victory, the team from São Paulo went to 16 points and remained in fourth place. The champions Minas are still vice-leaders, having 24 points but suffering the second defeat in the last five games. They ended their activities in Superliga in 2021 and will return to the competition on January 7.
