In a great game that marked the return of iconic middle blocker Thaísa Daher to the court after nearly 3 months, Sesi beat her side Minas for the 3rd time in the season and took an important step to guarantee the home-court advantage in the playoffs of the 2021/22 Women’s Superliga. In a duel valid for Round 22, the São Paulo side prevailed in the tie-break: 3-2 (17-25, 25-17, 25-22, 18-25, 15-9).

The top scorer of the match was the Sesi opposite hitter Nia Reed. The American grounded 26 points. Mayhara Silva set up 4 blocks, while Suelle Oliveira made 74% reception (31 digs, 3 errors, 55% excellent). Sesi went to 44 points and settled at 3rd place in the standings. Minas have 49 points and continued in the vice-leadership, with 3 points less than Dentil Praia Clube. There are 2 more rounds of the regular season to be played but it’s already clear which 8 teams will enter the playoffs (see standings below) – only the order of some of them is yet to be determined.
