BRA M: Sada Cruzeiro Tops Minas, Extends Lead in Superliga

Sada Cruzeiro secured a dramatic victory over Itambé Minas in the Brazilian Men’s Superliga, ending their rival’s 10-match winning streak. The match, held at Arena UniBH in Belo Horizonte, saw Sada rally from a 1-2 deficit to win in a nail-biting tie-breaker. The final set scores were 26-24, 23-25, 18-25, 25-16, and 15-13.

Douglas Souza of Sada Cruzeiro shone with 22 points, earning the VivaVôlei Trophy. Wallace added 16 points. Sada Cruzeiro now boasts 12 wins in 13 matches and leads the standings with 34 points, four ahead of Minas.

For Minas, Samuel Neufeld stood out with 19 points, but his team couldn’t match Sada’s dominant performance in the fourth and fifth sets.
