Sada Cruzeiro moved within one victory of the Superliga men’s semifinals after defeating Saneago Goiás 3–0 (25–19, 25–20, 25–18) in the opening game of their quarterfinal series.
The regular-season leaders controlled the match at Riacho Arena and can clinch a semifinal spot with another win in Goiânia. Goiás must respond at home to force a deciding third match on April 15.
Wilian Gabriel Doardo led Cruzeiro with 13 points, while Robson Rodrigues Robinho scored 12 for Goiás. Welinton Oppenkoski added 11 points for Sada and was named MVP.
In other quarterfinal action, Vôlei Renata beat Azulim Monte Carmelo 3–1. The round continues with Praia Clube vs. Guarulhos and Itambé Minas vs. Suzano.
