Itambé Minas opened their Superliga quarterfinal campaign with a convincing straight-sets win over Suzano Vôlei at Arena UniBH.

The home side dictated the pace throughout, earning a 1–0 advantage in the best-of-three series and moving within one victory of the semifinals. The next match will be played on April 10 in Suzano, where the hosts must respond to keep the series alive.
Samuel Neufeld led Minas with 15 points, while setter Javad Karimisouchelmaei guided the offense efficiently and was named MVP. For Suzano, Guilherme Sabino scored 11 points.
Minas held the edge in serve, reception, and attack efficiency, finishing with six aces and a 56% success rate in attack, compared to Suzano’s 44%. The visitors narrowly led in blocks but were undone by 29 errors.
In another quarterfinal clash, Praia Clube defeated Vedacit Guarulhos, maintaining a perfect record for home teams in the opening round.
