“It’s my first year in Brazil and already feel well suited. It is not easy to play here because the level is very good. I improved as a player in many aspects, especially in the attack, but here you have to attack smarter because the players are very good at blocking. Every day I grow a little more and overcoming the difficulties. I went through a natural process of adaptation and was facilitated by the way I was accepted. The girls accepted me with great joy and with open arms. The Molico / Nestlé opened the doors for me and I am very happy and grateful,” said the player, who started playing volleyball after she saw Mireya Luis and Regla Torres, Cuban volleyball stars at 1991 Pan American Cup held in Cuba.
What do you like to do off the court?
“I like to watch movies, series and going out to restaurants. The daily life of an athlete is very quick, so do not always have time. In Brazil I am very happy when they invite me to a barbecue. I am happy here and my desire is to stay as long as possible in Brazil” said Kenia Carcaces, the member of Molico/Nestle.
