Despite already taking the trophy at the FIVB World Club Championship and South American Club Championship this season, Cruzeiro seem hungry for more. They ran over São José dos Campos on road 3-0 (28-26, 25-20, 25-20) just like they did in Game 1. The Cuban Yoandy Leal was unstoppable with 15 points. Cruzeiro will meet Sesi-SP in the semis.

Another major title contenders, Funvic/Taubaté, achieved win in Belo Horizonte over home team of Minas Tênis Clube in the tie-break 3-2 (25-19, 14-25, 25-27, 25-22, 18-16). Thus, Taubaté will face Vôlei Brasil Kirin/Campinas in the semifinals, on Saturday, March 26. Ricardo Lucarelli was voted the best player on the court, but the Cuban Yadier Sánchez Sierra was the best scorer of the winning team with 22 points.
