Sada Cruzeiro opened playoff semifinals with 3-1 win over Sesi-SP (25-19, 22-25, 25-19, 25-21). Home side was dominating almost all the time and deserved a victory while away team showed some resistance by taking the second set.
Wallace Souza was the top scorer in home team with 17 points, while Yoandy Leal contributed with 14 points. In Sesi-SP, Douglas Souza had 15, while Theo Lopes added 12 points.
Recall that Taubate/Funvic also took the lead in the semis. They beat Volei Brasil Kirin in four sets (25-19, 25-17, 20-25, 25-19).
