“We haven’t been informed of any lawsuit so far, but it may come to our address in the following days. Any Brazilian citizen can appeal to the courts. It is their right. What is important to know is that the Brazilian Volleyball Federation has never been in favor or against the player-ranking system. We asked the clubs if they want to keep it for the next season and they voted in favor for the player-ranking system. On the other side, the players commission voted against it. Let’s wait and see what lies ahead. Democracy is a wonderful thing, but it is also a process,” said Baka for globoesporte.globo.com.

The top female players have already filed a lawsuit against the Brazilian Volleyball Federation, while the top male players are preparing to do the same.
