A 29-year-old opposite announced on social networks that she is leaving Camponesa/Minas after six months.
„Thank you Brazil for everything. Sadly I will not be returning next season. This year has been full of memories and I am thankful I was able to share them with Minas. I will never forget you all. I do not know where I will be playing next season! I want to say best of luck to all the girls who renewed with Minas for next season: Rosamaria, Karol, Léia, Pri and Mara. Also best of luck to Paulo Coco who will be coaching Praia next season. God bless and keep fighting Minas. You will always be in my heart,“ Hooker wrote on Instagram.
A two-time FIVB World Grand Prix winner with the US National Team averaged 44% in attack this season before her team lost Superliga playoff semifinals to Rexona-Sesc by 3-2.
Hooker also confirmed what Minas published earlier, that a quintet of players will stay in club for 2017/2018: Rosamaria Montibeller, Karoline ’Karol’ Tórmena, Léia Nicolosi, Priscila ’Pri’ Dariot and Mara Leão. Also, she revealed that coach Paulo Rego ‘Coco’ will definitely move to Dentil/Praia Clube, which was only an unofficial info so far.
