Brazil head coach Renan Dal Zotto summoned 10 players for the national team duties in 2018. The first group will appear in the Training Center of the Brazilian volleyball confederation (CBV) in Saquarema on April 30, while the other group will arrive on May 2.
These 10 players are: setters Bruninho (Azimut Modena, Italy) and Thiaguinho (Sesc-RJ), opposites Wallace (EMS Taubaté Funvic) and Renan (Sesc-RJ), middle blockers Maurício Souza (Sesc-RJ), Otávio (EMS Taubaté Funvic) and Éder (Diatec Trentino, Italy), outside hitters Maurício Borges (Sesc-RJ) and Lucas Lóh (Halkbank, Turkey), and libero Thales (EMS Taubaté Funvic).
The players of Sesi-SP and Sada Cruzeiro will join the national team after finishing the 2017/18 Superliga playoff finals.
Prior to announcing the names of the above-mentioned 10 players, Renan invited several young players to practice, from which he might choose a few to join the national team throughout the year.
The first challenge of Brazil is going to be the FIVB Nations League (May 25-July 8). The Pan American Cup in Mexico (August 12-20) and the World Championship in Bulgaria and Italy (September 10-30) come next.
Renan did not reveal how many players he will summon for the 2018 international season.
