EUROVOLLEY 2019 W: Goncharova powers Russia past Belarus, Germany down Switzerland

Russia and Germany have beaten their rivals in Pool D at the European Championship.

Russia have scored the first win at the EuroVolley and we can say that it was not an easy win. Belarus gave a huge resistance but Nataliya Goncharova was in a good mood, leading her team to a 3-0 victory with 17 points.

Hanna Kalinouskaya was the only player with a double-digit display on the other side.

Germany didn’t have any difficulties in a game against Switzerland. Louisa Lippman was the player of the game with 17 points.

POOL D, round 1: 

Switzerland – Germany 0-3 (16-25, 19-25, 21-25)

Belarus – Russia 0-3 (24-26, 16-25, 22-25)

Slovakia – Spain 20:00 CET (Friday, August 23)
