Newly promoted Russian Cup winners Dinamo Kazan swept the reigning CEV Challenge Cup winners Saugella Monza from Italy by a 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-19). Dinamo approached today’s encounter with a winning streak of 10 matches in all competitions and have extended it by one more match, mostly thanks to Croatian Samanta Fabris who scored 14 points. Serena Ortolani tallied 11 points for Monza, while Anna Danesi made 5 kill blocks.
The defending champions Unet e-work Busto Arsizio saved the honor of Italian teams in the first leg of the 8th finals by recording a straight-set victory against DevelopRes SkyRes Rzeszów from Poland.
