— Following the latest developments, the members of the CEV Board of Administration have agreed to postpone all CEV events until further notice. This decision applies to the following competitions:

•    European Cups (i.e. Champions League, CEV Cup and Challenge Cup) scheduled to take place until mid-May 2020*

•    Under-age Volleyball qualifiers scheduled for late April and early May 2020 across four age groups (U17 Women, U18 Men, U19 Women, U20 Men)

•    CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup Phase 2 scheduled for the week 12 to 17 May 2020

•    CEV Volleyball European Golden and Silver League 2020.

*As previously announced, the only exception to this policy remain the CEV Cup – Men semi-final matches between the Russian teams of Zenit SAINT PETERSBURG and Lokomotiv NOVOSIBIRSK.

“This has been a hard and painful decision, which we have taken it with the health and safety of our players, officials and fans in mind. However, considering the overall situation across Europe and aiming to provide clear guidance and to allow reasonable planning for all stakeholders, we had to make this decision now. We will further monitor the situation and work together with all of our stakeholders in order to find mutual solutions depending on the further development of the crisis,” says CEV President Aleksandar Boričić.

“Staying united, keeping an open communication and continuously working with positive energy for the good of our beloved sport, I am confident that we will manage all together to overcome this crisis. We thank you for your understanding and we sincerely wish you and your families to stay healthy and safe,” the CEV President concluded in his address to all members of the European Volleyball family and all Volleyball lovers.
