Prior to the last round of the pool stage of the U18 EuroVolley in Italy, there was only one dilemma regarding the semifinal lineup.
The Czech Republic and Germany were to decide on the last vacancy in the face-off in Pool II in Lecce. The Czechs played the match with much more energy and won by a 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-13). David Kollátor, a member of the youth team of TJ Slavia Hradec Králové, topped the winning side with 15 points. Jakub Klajmon, a member of the youth team of Volejbal Brno, made 6 kill blocks.
Bulgaria topped Pool I in Marsicovetere after beating the hosts in five sets in a direct duel for the No.1. Thus, they sent Italy to Poland in the semis.
