Turkey’s Halkbank Ankara went through into the 16th finals of the 2021 CEV Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup.

With a dominant display in both duels of the Qualification Round of the 2021 men’s Challenge Cup against Austria’s UVC Holding Graz, Turkey’s Halkbank Ankara secured a spot in the 16th finals of the third tier of the European club competitions – 2x 3-0.

As many as 10 players on the winning side scored at least one point, being led by Gökhan Gökgöz (13 points; including 4 aces). Halkbank will play against Israel’s Hapoel Kfar Saba in the next round.

Speaking of the 16th finals, one face-off has already been completed a few days ago. Bulgaria’s Marek Union Ivkoni Dupnitsa achieved a double straight-set win against Austria’s UVC Weberzeile Ried.

Due to the withdrawal of Norway’s TIF Viking Bergen, Sweden’s Sollentuna VC progressed to the 1/8 final as well.
