After a great match and a big surprise in the match the day before when Montpellier defeated Piacenza in four sets, the CEV Cup quarterfinals were completed with 3 more matches.

Italian powerhouse Valsa Group Modena needed four sets to win in Ljubljana. Valsa Group Modena defeated ACH Volley Ljubljana 3-1 (25-18, 17-25, 25-16, 25-22).

In the second match full of twists and turns, Čez Karlovarsko (CZE) wasted a 2-0 lead in sets, but managed to win the game in a tie break and defeat PGE Skra Belchatow (POL) after 5 sets of play (25-23, 27-25, 13-25, 21-25, 15-11).
