CEV CUP W: In the last two clashes of the quarterfinals, Targoviste and Alba Blaj celebrated

C.S.M. Targoviste (ROU) achieved a home win on Wednesday night against Olympiacos Piraeus (GRE), in the first leg of the CEV Women’s Cup quarterfinals. It was an incredibly dramatic and interesting match, and the home team won in a tiebreak after they managed to reverse 1-2 in the sets (25-19, 23-25, 18-25, 25-17, 15-9).

C.S.M. Targoviste (ROU) moved to the CEV Cup after failing to reach the knockout stage of the CEV Champions League.

In the second match of the quarterfinals played yesterday, C.S.M. Volei Alba Blaj (ROU) hosted Budowlani Łódź (POL). The Romanian team needed four sets for an important victory and the first step towards the semifinals. The final score was 3-1 (25-23, 25-13, 25-27, 25-19) in favor of C.S.M. Alba Blaj.
